Bombay Flying Club, Mumbai
The Bombay Flying Club was actually set up in the year 1928, in the city of Mumbai, the financial capital of India. Since its inception it has excelled in the filed of aviation and air hostess training and is today recognized as one of India’s best aviation and air hostess institute. This air hostess institute is approved by the Director General of Civil Aviation- DGCA, government of India.
Curriculum and training
The air hostess training, which is otherwise known as Cabin Crew Training, curriculum is as per the international standards designed and is to meet the needs and the requirements of the aviation industry. It covers various Technical/ Non Technical aspects of Aircraft, In-flight services, History of Aviation, etc. The curriculum and the training lays important stress on the important features of the cabin services which include Passenger Handling, Grooming and Hygiene, Meal service On board, International Culinary, Emergency Evacuation, First Aid, Introductory Flight Safety and Personal Care.
The aspirant seeking to get enrolled in this famous institute should be 10+2 (in any discipline). The age should be 18 to 26 years. Height for Male should be min.170cms & for female it should be Female min. 157cms. Eye sight must be normal & no color blindness.
Achievements
During the Second World War the Bombay Flying Club played a very important role by training the young IAF pilots, some of the best pilots of the country, for Indian Airlines, Air India, and Air Force.
Besides, Late Shree J.R.D. TATA, the father of civil aviation in India, was the first pilot to secure the A pilot’s license from the Bombay Flying Club in February, 1929.
