Tania Sachdev
Tania Sachdev is a 20 year old Indian chess player and also the Eight Indian Woman Grandmaster. Tania won her first international title at the age of eight. At this age she also won many world and Asian Junior titles. Tania wanted to raise her ELO rating from 2383 to 2450. She scored 6.5 points out of 9 in the Asian Women’s championship. Tania also aims to receive the International Masters norm. Her talent in chess is considered as one of the biggest chess talent on women’s chess. Tania Sachdev hails from Delhi and was born 20th August 1986. She is a literature student and also a Woman International Master.
By scoring fifty percent of points in the first Saturday of the Grand master Tournament, she won her final Woman Grandmaster norm. Tania dropped playing in the National Women’s Championship due to her exam date colliding with the tournament dates. She also achieved the woman grandmaster norm in an 11-player men’s grandmaster tournament, which is really an accomplishment.
